She

The house is full of cries
She is born
Beautiful, soft, like a dream
Her little fingers curled
Her pink face peaceful
As she feels secured
Bundled up in her mother’s arms
Unaware of the attempts
That was made to kill her
Even before she felt alive
And now she is born.
She is like water
Colourless, adaptable
She is living
As others want her to
She has dreams she treasures
But she keeps them hidden
Secured under the chains of her strength
She is growing
And so are her restrictions
And her responsibilities
At the age of 14
She is half a woman already
She knows her house, her people
As good as her own self
But her, she is surrounded
In the pitch black darkness
Of anonymous identity
And she keeps growing
she lives so many identities
but her own
A woman is born
She is blessed
With a white face
And darkness...

Ah I Wish

Note : This Post has been written for Romantic Friday Writers .The Topic was Three Things I Could have done better .You can Read other entries by clicking the linky at the end of this post.

Ah I Wish - The Journey

Ah I wish I could go back
to the first day,
When you entered my life
and made it worth living

I wish I could go back
To the First hour
The moment when we first met
At the church..

I wish I could go back
When I was so blind
To see and to foresee,
To know that you were the one

I wish I could go back
To the Moment
When I held your hand
And declared you were mine

I wish I could go back
To see the passion
In your eyes
You had on our first date

I wish I could go back
And kiss you
With those moist lips
our first kiss
The way we had it
when we knew it was love

I wish I could go back
When we cuddled and played
With each others hair
The whole day In the park

I wish I could go back
When you wiped the tear
From my cheeks
When I was sad

I wish I could go back
To the time
When you cried For me
When I was not Well.

I wish I could go back
To the time
When we fought
over that silly misunderstanding

I wish I could go back
And know what you were thinking
And read your mind
And sorted the issues
And you still would have been mine.

I wish I could
Make you understand
That I was not at fault
But was a bit Too over Possessive

I wish I could
Tell you how I feel
With dreadfull Stillness
Inside my heart Without you

I wish I could
Let you know
I am sorry
For being the stupid
I am

I wish I could
Show you
How much I love you.
If I could

I wish I could
Do all these things for you
Correct My Mistakes
In time

I wish I could
be with you
so that these thoughts
do not come and haunt me

I wish I could have
stopped you
from separation

I wish I could
Just keep on writing
And when I stop
You could again be
Mine................

Chandrakanta

Roopmati, the eldest daughter of the king of Rajgarh, She was the most intelligent girl around Rajgarh and the near by villages. The King of Junagarh, Zaffarulla, who recently beheaded his father to be the king of Junagarh, was in love with Roopmati.Zafarulla followed his father's footsteps of taking over the throne by killing his father, as his father had killed his grandfather to be the King of Junagarh. Zaffar loved Roopmati so much that he married her with in few weeks of meeting her.

One day when Zafar was talking about his future with his family priest , he was shocked to know that he will also be killed by his son and will be dethroned in the same way. He was terrified but never showed his fear to anyone. He had a dangerous plan in making while he was making love to Roopmati everyday and one fine day he proposed the game of changing shapes to her. Both were blessed shapeshifters. Roopmati, even though she was so intelligent, did not realized this was a trap from zafar and she fell right into it , as soon as Roopmati took the shape of a fly ,he swallowed her , thinking that if he could swallow her she would not be able to give birth to the child who would eventually dethrone him.

Months past by and zafar almost forgot about it.But exactly after nine months as he was chilling around the lake around his fort he felt lot of pain in his head. The pain was so much that Zafar had to call his family doctor to actually cut his head and see what the problem was. As soon as the doctor cut his head all were surprised to see chandrakanta fully armored. And now the world could see Chandrakanta.

Chandrakanta became the favorite daughter of Zafar. She was intelligent .she had the strategies which no one could beat.she was the was queen. One day when when zafar was teaching her the arts of armoury which she already knew , Chandrakanta beheaded him and made it appeared as an accident. She had now dethroned him and was the queen of Junagarh.

The Final Goodbye

This is the Entry for Romantic Friday Writer -Greener Pastures

"Beep...beep...beep...beep.." A sudden ring from my cell phone brought me back to my senses. She was calling I missed the call, Ding -Dong and now the door bell rang.

Was that a dream? I got out of the bed , I tried hard to think in my current state of trance. Opened my eyes and had a glimpse of her beautiful face from the door glass, passionately staring at me. She was looking at me in amazement and still looking cute as ever , I ensured myself of my return from a different world. She stood still at the main door as I kept walking towards it to open it.From the door glass I could see she was wearing the long white dress she bought from Singapore during our last vacations.

I opened the door "Can I have the papers?", she asked in a firm voice.

Yes , we were getting divorced , It all started because we could not communicate , yes we could not after I went to Delhi for my new job .She wont understand the pressure at work , I know I  became tense and anxious most of the time.I was always busy planning things for the betterment of our status in the society . She would lie awake in bed thinking about me and I was always busy thinking about the schedule for the days ahead-the calls I would have to make for the project I  was currently working on.I was always thinking of the plans I would have to make about paying the mounting bills. The constant pressure of  many responsibilities weighed heavily on me.

Due to lack of sleep, I guess I  became irritable and short-tempered. She didn’t enjoy her life much anymore with me I guess , We began fighting about our relationship.Once out of my own frustration I  told her that  she was not helping enough around the house. But the reality was she left her job just because we were moving in Delhi for my new job.I guess That was the final nail in the coffin.

I still remember everything from Holding hands under a starry sky, cuddling in the bed , sitting in front of a burning log fire, kissing on her favorite spot at the corner of the lips , walking arm in arm bare foot on a sandy beach, having the bubble bath , kicking leaves on an autumnal day through the woods, sharing a romantic candle lit dinner , eyes meeting across a crowded room , wanting her to be with me , sitting together watching a sunset head on shoulders , feeding each other grapes, chocolate dipped strawberries, sharing a dessert,.

Now , I had no feeling to express; no other gesture to show than giving her a big and long hug and final goodbye. She collected the divorce papers and drove off the car in the car I gifted her three years ago on her birthday.

999 Respect !!!

As a club cricketer I can say that Its is easy to criticize and it is damn difficult to play.I will miss you mark.My respect to you.We will miss your famous slog sweep shot on Indian pitches and the great catches you took on bouncy pitches.Boucher, a 15-year veteran who will close off on 999 catches and stumpings across all formats of the game, quit after undergoing surgery on the severe eye injury he sustained on the opening day of a tour match against Somerset. The 35-year-old admitted he faced an “uncertain recovery” after his three-hour operation on Monday evening.

The Partition

It was early morning in the month of August 1947, I was playing in the backyard when I heard my dad shouting at my mom to stop what she was doing, grab me and run. I thought maybe they were fighting, and didn't realize what was actually going on. I left my toys and started running towards the bedroom but my father grabbed me and we hurriedly boarded the cab waiting outside our home.

It took us 12 hours to reach Lahore but when we got there, people were being massacred, they were killed brutally. I am not sure if they were Hindus or Muslims or paid rioters but people were dying. I still remember, my friend Rehan was killed in front of my eyes just because he was Muslim. Our driver was a Hindu but he refused to go further until we were certain it was safe, you see, I belonged to a Hindu family and my father did not choose to stay in India after partition but we had no other choice.

We could see the railway station, it was about a hundred meters away, but the driver wouldn't move any closer. We didn’t know what to do. Then some soldiers took us to a refugee camp. But my dad was a strong and a brave man. He fought with the soldiers and took the risk of going to the station on his own, I remember I was on his shoulders, still confused and horrified by what I was seeing. It felt as if it took forever but, finally we reached the train destined for Amritsar.

The train driver was a Muslim and he refused to leave for Amritsar without a police escort. We never thought we would ever leave Lahore, I still remember leaving all my toys just as they were when my dad came home shouting and then we left for the station a few minutes later. It all happened so fast.

After we boarded the train I managed to get some sleep. When I woke up the slaughter had already started and I realized I was on someone's shoulders. He was running, running terribly fast and I started crying. "Shut up or else you will be killed....." was the reply from the man carrying me. I realized he was my uncle. I could see bodies strewn everywhere. People were running in all directions. Nobody was interested in picking up the dead bodies, everyone was running for their lives.

"...where are my parents..." I asked. "They have been killed...and if you dont keep quiet you will also be..." I could see the wet trail of a tear that had just rolled down my uncle's cheek. I was shocked and could not speak. I just rested my face on his head as he kept running.

Someone is Special Blog Review

Hello , As a request on the Get your Blog Review Page I am going to review Saravana Kumar Murugan's blog who writes under a pen name Someone is Special and blog is called few miles . Well I went through blog and did a lot of a reading in the past month. The content is good, your language is nice and you have the necessary fluency in imparting the ideas. Following are the few points I would like to underline.
  • 1.Content :The content is thoughtful as well as thought provoking as we can see from the suicide post. But the font color kept changing which was not much appreciated.Awesome poetry , I could connect to them,The romantic theme goes well with the content and the music. The choice of words is also great which makes the stories more meaningful.Wishes is my personal favorite. If your content is great half the battle is won but in this case the content is the thing which makes readers like me come back again and again to your blog.I liked the wishes.I liked the the mystery as well , If I had to say I would say the content is full of content here.
  • 2.Uniqueness: The website is quite unique in itself ,The Home page will be liked my most of the audience , people who prefer a simple home page at least might differ but over all its likable. The uniqueness might not be found in the labels but it will rather found out in the content which is awesome to say the least.few miles is not a regular blog its a special blog , people look upto the content and come back again to read that's the USP.
  • 3.ActivityYou have been quite active in replying to the comments and posting new posts on the site as well as linking on the social networking plugins as well. This makes the reader to look forward to your new replies and posts.Way to go dear its a great sign.
  • 4.Appearance:The appearance of the site is awesome to say the least. The website has great color contrast ratio which goes very well with almost ninety percent readers. We all love widgets , you have all of them , the page views and flags shows your popularity.there is nothing to say on that.but some how the empty space at home page in the later half of the page is quite strange.you may want to adjust that.(Space between Page 1 of 35 to I PEN FOR).I would have preferred pictures from you than the pictures we can find on Google and facebook on your website.well you cant get 3 lacs page hits if you are not special , so I guess that sums it up.Well as I can see as a normal reader we don't actually find it great if the font color keeps on changing , a constant color for a single post is just about it.You might want to look into this.
  • 5.Navigation:The navigation is quite smooth and if people want to know about you m they can do it easily.Bot the Tabs and the pages at the top most position serves their purpose with ease. The reader can smoothly go to all the pages and can get a glimpse of what special ability you have got in all forms of writings.

Rest is all great! You have done a good job with the poems , which are my personal favorites. That's all from me.Keep writing dude many bloggers look up to you.
